United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country located in the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia. It shares borders with Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south and west. The UAE is situated along the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman coastlines.

3. Formation: The UAE was formed on December 2, 1971, when six emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm Al-Quwain, Fujairah, and Ajman – united to create a single nation. Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation later in 1972.
4. Government: The UAE is a federation of seven emirates, each governed by an absolute monarchy. However, the Federal Supreme Council is the highest legislative and executive body in the country, composed of the rulers of the seven emirates.
5. Rulers: Each emirate has its own ruler, and the ruler of Abu Dhabi serves as the President of the UAE, while the ruler of Dubai is the Prime Minister.
6. Economy: The UAE has one of the most developed economies in the Middle East, primarily driven by oil and gas exports, as well as a thriving tourism sector and a focus on diversification into various industries, such as finance, real estate, aviation, and technology.
7. Religion: Islam is the official religion of the UAE, and the majority of the population is Muslim. However, the country is known for its religious tolerance and hosts a significant number of expatriates from various cultural and religious backgrounds.
8. Languages: Arabic is the official language of the UAE, but English is widely spoken and used in business and education.
9. Landmarks: The UAE is famous for its modern architecture and iconic landmarks, such as the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), the Palm Jumeirah, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and the Burj Al Arab.
